The workshop, with a focus on the UAE market, is part of a course of Virtual Greek Tourism & Gastronomy Workshops 2021 events, organized by Tourism Media & Events towards the direction of enhancing  luxury tourism in Greece.

The Greek – Arabic Luxury Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2021 was held with the ultimate goal of attracting high-income tourists to Greece. It is commonplace that the Arabic market is one of the main sources of incoming travelers to Greece.

Over 800 B2B meetings at the 1st Virtual Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop in France

French tour operators are currently showing special interest in traveling all year round to Greece, discovering the different forms of alternative tourism in Greece. At the same time, the representatives of French tourism and the French importers and wholesalers saw the dynamics of Greek gastronomy through their meetings with Greek exporters in the F&B field.

The above finding is the aftermath of the 1st Virtual Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop in France, which was completed on Thursday, April 15.

The event featured 817 B2B meetings and was attended by 77 travel agents, journalists, as well as 48 companies, French importers, and wholesalers coming from the food and beverage sector.

On the other hand, the Greek Gastronomy Workshops are of direct interest to export companies that wish to penetrate or strengthen their presence in key markets in Europe.

70-80 local travel agents (in the case of Great Britain, the participation exceeded all previous ones) and tour operators of the respective market, and for the agri-food sector, 40-50 buyers (importers, wholesalers, supermarket chains, delicatessens, etc.).
