23/03/2021 The works of the 1st Virtual Workshop of Alternative Tourism and Gastronomy in the German market, organized by Tourism Media & Events, were completed on Friday, March 19. The event was crowned with success – in the light of the conditions of covid 19 – as hundreds of business meetings took place between Greek tourism companies and destinations, Greek F&B export companies, and German specialists of the respective sectors.
The interest in Greek tourism is extremely positive for the touristic year of 2021, as illustrated by the high participation. The German agents paid special attention to new tourist destinations, creating a hopeful vibe for a touristic 2022.
The majority of them recorded the great potential that our country has in the field of thematic tourism with a focus on walking, climbing and sports tourism. The study of dozens of German importers to get in touch with Greek companies in the food and beverage sector, which are potential ambassadors of Greek tourism through gastronomy, was particularly high.
The main Sponsor of the event was the Hellenic Tourism Organization.
Honored Region of the event was the Region of South Aegean.
