The Polish EOT Service gave a strong presence at the 1st Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop, which took place with a large sponsor EOT on October 29, 2019 at the emblematic castle Forteca in Warsaw and aimed at promoting alternative forms of tourism that Greece offers to its visitors.
From the Greek side, the Municipality of Volos, the Tourist Organization of Halkidiki, the SitiaGeopark, the Lesvos Geopark and the PsiloritisGeopark, as well as representatives of Greek hotel units and alternative and thematic tourism companies participated in the works of the Workshop.
During the event, Polish participants were informed about the tourist product of areas such as Volos, Pelion and Halkidiki, while at B2B meetings they had the opportunity to learn about the dozens of alternative activities offered by participating Greek destinations and businesses.
In addition, they watched the promotional videos of EOT, which were shown on the main stage of the event, and the special promotional publications of the Organization for thematic tourism in Greece were procured.
The event was attended by the Ambassador of Greece to Poland, Mr. Michael Daratzikis, who after thanking the Head of the EOT Service of Poland, Ms.NikolettaNikolopoulou, for her contribution to the organization of the meeting, pointed out the importance of developing cooperation between such initiatives. two countries, both economically and politically and culturally.
For her part, Ms.Nikolopoulou expressed her belief that this Workshop will give a significant impetus to the professional cooperation of Polish and Greek entrepreneurs in the field of alternative tourism and underlined the multiple options that our country has to offer Polish visitors 365 days a week. time, emphasizing that Greece is a destination that constantly has to offer its visitors new experiences and activities, which explains why many tourists visit it repeatedly. .
The Workshop ended with an official dinner, during which the invited Polish travel agents, T.Os and journalists had the opportunity to try selected Greek dishes and fine Greek wines, while they also participated in the raffle of prizes offered by the event’s sponsors. .
