From December 3-7, 2018, the 28th annual medical exhibition Healthcare – 2018 was held in Moscow within the framework of the international scientific-practical forum “Russian Health Care Week”.

For more than 5 years, the participation in the exhibition has been an important part of the company’s development process, which allows the acquainting of customers and specialists with new products. The 3rd International Exhibition for Medical and Wellness Services, Health Improvement and Medical Treatment – MedTravelExpo 2019 will be held from 2 to 6 December in Moscow.

The MedTravelExpo international trade show is part of the Russian Health Care Week. George Dalara’s Concert in Moscow (VIDEO)

The concert of George Dalaras for Greece drew excellent reviews and extensive publicity.

More than 40 articles in the written and electronic press of Russia have been published so far for the Concert of George Dalaras in Moscow, the first major event in Greece to celebrate the Year of Tourism Greece-Russia. During the concert that took place in the Concert Hall of the Patriarchal Church of the Savior, George Dalaras captivated an audience of about 1500 people which consisted of Russian Government Officers, tour operators, travel agents, representatives of 16 Russian cities and expatriates. Also present, heads of organisations of the Russian Federation and Greece, representatives of the Church of Greece, agents of the economic and tourism industry, as well as representatives of the Russian media, journalists and foreign correspondents.

Minister of Tourism Mrs. Elena Kountoura welcomed the event – which was initiated by the ministry – and stressed that the Year of Greek-Russian Tourism has begun, a great celebration for both countries, marking the beginning of a series of top festivities and joint activities.

The main sponsors of the concert were: Aegean Airlines, the Mouzenidis group and supporters were the Hotel Owners Association of Rhodes and Rodos Palace.

It is emphasised that the concert was widely covered by the largest media in Russia. Indicative of the impact of the event on the Russian public is the praise of one of the most renowned Russian critics, Mr. Vadim Ponomariov, who described the concert as “the appearance of a great maitre, an act of high art”, expressing the hope that new similar collaborations will emerge in Russia soon.

In an event that followed at the Greek Embassy in Moscow for the Year of Greek-Russian Tourism, Mr. Dalaras thanked the Ministry of Tourism and GNTO for the initiative and support.

The Greek artist was congratulated for his excellent performance by the Deputy Minister of Culture responsible for tourism, Ms. Alla Manilova, who attended the event. Representatives of Russian tourism also praised the contribution of high-level organisations to highlight the traditional and modern culture of Greece to Russia and the Russian public.

Postponement of the Greek Hospitality Awards 2020 | New date Friday, June 12

In Hague will be held the 1st Greek Alternative Tourism 2019

Greece’s alternative tourism is being promoted in the Netherlands. On April 16, 2019, The Hague hosts for the first time the alternative tourism of Greece, at the 1st Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop Hague 2019 in the emblematic space of Madurodam.

Greek entrepreneurs in the tourism market are joining forces with public bodies.

Dynamic presence of GNTO at the 1st Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop in Warsaw

The Polish EOT Service gave a strong presence at the 1st Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop, which took place with a large sponsor EOT on October 29, 2019 at the emblematic castle Forteca in Warsaw and aimed at promoting alternative forms of tourism that Greece offers to its visitors.

From the Greek side, the Municipality of Volos, the Tourist Organization of Halkidiki, the SitiaGeopark, the Lesvos Geopark and the PsiloritisGeopark, as well as representatives of Greek hotel units and alternative and thematic tourism companies participated in the works of the Workshop.

During the event, Polish participants were informed about the tourist product of areas such as Volos, Pelion and Halkidiki, while at B2B meetings they had the opportunity to learn about the dozens of alternative activities offered by participating Greek destinations and businesses.

In addition, they watched the promotional videos of EOT, which were shown on the main stage of the event, and the special promotional publications of the Organization for thematic tourism in Greece were procured.
