481 B2B meetings at the Greek Luxury Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop in BeNeLux

The Virtual Workshop on Luxury Tourism and Gastronomy with the Benelux market, organized by Tourism Media & Events, has been successfully completed today. Around 481 business meetings have been held between Benelux tour operators and travel agents and Greek tourism companies and destinations, but also between Benelux food importers and Greek food export companies.

The interest in Greek tourism is extremely high for the touristic 2022, as shown in the high number of participations. The Benelux tour operators noted that Greece despite the pandemic remains high in the preferences of their compatriots, as confirmed by the particularly high attendance at B2B meetings compared to other live events-workshops in the past. Dozens of retailers and importers also confirm this high interest in Greek tourism, as they are more than willing to get in touch with Greek companies in the food and beverage sector, which promote Greek tourism through gastronomy.

84 Beneluxtravel agents, 15 distinguished media, and 15 importers of Greek products participated in the event. On the Greek side, 16 tourist destinations and businesses and 14 F&B companies from the Attica Region participated.

The works of the GREEK – AMERICAN LUXURY TOURISM & GASTRONOMY WORKSHOP 2021 have been concluded late at night on Wednesday 27 October, raising high expectations for incoming American travelers to Greece in 2022.

The US is one of the most dynamic markets of incoming luxury travelers for Greece, making it one of the top three tourist destinations for Americans in 2021, as confirmed by the contacts of Greek participants with the American travel companies during the B2B meetings.

Demand for Greece seems to have exceeded initial expectations, as the number of Americans traveling to popular Greek tourist destinations this year approached a 65% of 2019 levels, raising expectations for even higher performance in 2022.

The outcome of the event which ended on October 27, 2021, noted the participation of 104 American travel agents and the holding of 469 business meetings, as depicted in the digital reports.

The Greek – Danish Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2021 has been completed

28/04/2021 The Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2021 event in Denmark completed its works on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Danish tour operators are currently showing special interest in traveling all year round from Denmark to Greece, discovering new forms of alternative tourism.

At the same time,  the representatives of tourism and the importers and wholesalers saw the dynamics of Greek gastronomy through their meetings with Greek exporters in the field of F&B.

The above finding is the aftermath of the 1st Virtual Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop in Denmark, which completed its works on Tuesday afternoon, April 20.

The workshop of Tourism Media & Events is part of a course of events following these of Germany, the United Kingdom, and France that took place last March. For 2021, in the field of alternative tourism and gastronomy more events are to come, in Sweden next December.
