The preparations of the Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 continue at an intensive pace, while at the same time the number of companies that will participate is expanding, so that 35 days before the first event there are only a few places left due to the high interest.
This is because for the first time 2 of the most dynamic sectors of Greece, Alternative Tourism and Agri-Food, are presented in 4 strategically important markets in Europe, Denmark (Copenhagen), France (Paris), Poland (Warsaw). ) and Belgium (Brussels).
It is underlined that these are exclusively professional events which aim at the promotion of Greece in the absolute alternative and gastronomic destination.
In particular, the Greek Alternative & Gastronomy Workshop 2020, is addressed to Tourism Enterprises and Public Bodies that are interested in promoting their services and products around alternative tourism.
At the same time, it is targeting export companies that want to penetrate or strengthen their presence in key European markets.
These are 2 parallel events that aim to highlight the alternative tourism product of Greece and strengthen the exportable Greek food and beverages.
European markets are involved in alternative tourism, 75-85 local tourism agents and tour operators in each market, and in the agri-food sector, 30-35 buyers including importers, wholesalers, retailers, foodservers and deli stores.
For the success of the events, which aim to extend the tourist season of Greece as well as the promotion of Greek products, the experienced executives of the organising company Tourism Media & Events – who specialise in the organisation Workshops – join the official bodies of Greece but also with PR companies that ensure the participation of the most important travel agents of each local market.
At the beginning of the events, press conferences will be held with representatives of large and specialised local media from each country, seeking the maximum publicity of the participants, while the Workshops will be preceded by wine and olive oil tastings.
Following the events, participants will have the opportunity to present their proposals for alternative tourism to travel agents and tour operators in B2B meetings, on the one hand, and to promote their products and their gastronomic suggestions to specialised professionals, importers, wholesalers and store chain managers in neighbouring areas.
The events of the Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 are completed with an evening dinner with Greek cuisine, which will seal the Workshop giving the opportunity to all attendees for further networking.
GNTO participates in the events which are under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Rural Development and the Intercultural Group for UNESCO.
